邀請”外國人“的節目每集都會邀請來自“世界各國”的男性"代表"(一個素人可以代表一個國家！？？)，分享和比較各地文化差異、感情觀、價值觀、生活經驗等，但為什麼極少看見印尼、越南、菲律賓、泰國等東南亞國家的外國人？
在台外國人2017年的數量為717,736人，以國籍分，以印尼 (36.6%)、越南 (23.2%)、菲律賓 (16.6%)、泰國 (12.7%)、馬來西亞籍 (2.6%)最多。東南亞以外的國家，以美國及日本最多，約各2%而已。（*數據統計來自於維基百科）
東南亞國家來的人們是在台外國人口最多的前五名，卻不常在擁有大批想要了解“文化差異“、“外國人”生活的觀眾群之節目上看見他們的身影。
我們透過電視上所謂的“文化差異節目”能了解或學習到的究竟是什麼？
#配飯吃會噎到
An obvious question that pops into the mind of any discerning foreigner when watching variety shows in which the variety is "foreigners" is why do the ratios not match up with the demographics. Anyone who has been in Taiwan for a few months will probably know that most of the foriegners are from South East Asia. However paraded on TV are individuals who come from richer countries than Taiwan. Japanese, Briitish, American, etc. Why is this?
